Welcome to my personal website! I am currently a second-year doctoral student at the
Université Paris Cité in France, working on
differentiable shape models of cells in young embryos — both static and
dynamic. I am fortunate to be supervised by
Dr. Hervé Turlier
and surrounded by a truly interdisciplinary work environment at the prestigious
Collège de France in the heart of the city.
Right before, in 2024, I completed my Masters (French M2)
in the popular Applied Mathematics and Computer Vision
(MVA —
Mathématiques, Vision, Apprentissage) programme enrolled at Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
Previously, I have worked as a Research Assistant at the
Biomedical Imaging
Group (BIG)
in
EPFL
for a duration of 6 months. Primarily advised by
Prof. Michael Unser
and
Dr. Julien Fageot, I devised a stochastic optimization algorithm to estimate the unknown 3D rotation of a known template embedded in a discrete 3D image, using spherical harmonics and steerable filters, in a computationally efficient manner.
My undergraduate thesis work was carried out at
Dr. Virginie Uhlmann
's outgoing
lab
at the European Bioinformatics Institute EMBL-EBI in Cambridge, UK. The
yearlong project explored novel avenues to modify and apply the latest
developments in deep Reinforcement Learning to contour-fitting problems
using spline models on cell segmentation data.
Thereafter, in 2022, I graduated from the National Institute of Technology
(NITK)
in Karnataka, India, with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and a minor
in Information Technology, with a full grade for my thesis work.
